The goal of Cloud and Enterprise (C+E) Analytics & Insights team is to foster a data-driven culture; to encourage and enable the entire organization to make more informed decisions through data. As part of that work, our Business Analytics team supports a variety of Rhythms of the Business (RoB) and ad hoc analyses where we examine recent and historical data, identify salient trends, develop statistical models, and surface key insights.
As the availability of data, and the demand for analysis, grows, we need a capable BI analyst to help stakeholders representing various functions across the C+E organization (engineering, marketing, finance, the field) understand how our services are being used and what actions they can take to ensure we deliver best-in-class products/services, create compelling offers, and optimize the customer experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

o Define/refine the team's strategy and structure (and hire people as necessary)
o Manage the technical and professional growth of the team
o Become a subject matter expert in the C+E business and BI ecosystem. Collaborate with end users to understand objectives, identify analysis opportunities, and prioritize projects in order to deliver maximum business impact.
o Educate customers on how to leverage data as an asset for their function/business.
o Deliver accurate and timely C+E RoB artifacts. Recognize opportunities for process improvements and drive standardization and repeatability.
o Identify changes in customer behavior, system performance, or financial results, and deliver the necessary insights to explain them.
o Define, develop, and evangelize self-serve reports that meet the needs of disparate audiences across the organization and Microsoft.
o Support development and management of metrics, KPIs, and dashboards.
o Ensure the ongoing documentation of analysis methodologies and their results.
o Manage vendor workloads and ensure quality delivery on a timely basis.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
o 3+ years of experience at managing a complex, global BI team
o 8+ years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, or data driven business strategy.
o Functional knowledge of cloud computing and online services business models, including business, technical, and operational metrics.
o Demonstrated analytical ability, particularly related to complex problems and concepts.
o Highly proficient with T-SQL and Excel. Experience with Cosmos/Scope and statistics tools (R, SAS) preferred.
o Experience analyzing and streamlining complex business processes (PMP, Six Sigma qualifications preferred).
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Statistics or closely related field.
