Are you interested in understanding how Microsoft manages business performance? In the Corporate Finance Business Insights team, we are in the center of the action - increasing our impact on the company through the automation of metrics and KPIs to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business reviews.

Within Corporate Finance, the Finance BI Services (FBIS) team serves as a corporate center for measuring, monitoring and reporting on business performance to drive actionable insights and guide management decisions across all of our businesses. In FBIS, we are looking for a Metric Process Manager to join our team to influence how we plan and deliver metrics to enable dashboards, scorecards, and standard reports.

The Metric Process Manager will design, implement and continuously improve our team planning and prioritization practice and processes. This role will also lead specific metric and/or scorecard programs and will work with subject matter experts to analyze, rationalize and prioritize business needs while partnering with business owners to publish metrics.

This role will be responsible for the following activities:
Plan & Prioritize:
o Manage Stakeholder Requests: Partner with metric, data and report process owners to prioritize requests for new metrics and/or reports. Lead negotiation with the business for signoff of scope & delivery schedule, and user acceptance.
o Own the Plan of Record: Organize the metric publish calendar, working closely with the end users, business partners, and team members to scope, define, develop, and deploy metrics to dashboards, scorecards and reports.

Deliver Metrics:
o Project Management: Apply project management skills to manage scope, plan work, coordinate resources and proactively identify and resolve issues. Understand entire lifecycle of metric data from acquisition through to various phases of consumption.
o Communication: Establish a communication framework with proper escalation channels to provide timely, consistent, audience-appropriate communication across stakeholder audiences.
o Quality Assurance: Assure quality and accuracy of BI Services (e.g. reports, data cubes, etc.) through thorough interaction with end users to understand and define requirements and adherence to data governance standards and practices
o Business Analysis: Understand business requirements for metrics reporting; vet requests cross functionally with metric owners and working team, and works across service delivery program managers for consistent use of metrics across reports, scorecards, and dashboards.

o Represent metrics data process owners to ensure all information required is gathered, accurate, and complete; and perform validation to ensure metrics are correctly calculated.
o Organize and maintain business rule documentation, data dictionaries, reference lists, and other supporting documentation.
o Ensure accuracy and consistency across metrics data categories and reports.
o Perform analysis of new and existing data across disparate sources, business processes and other internal databases to improve data integrity and completeness.
o Supports FBIS management with insight into business priorities for workload prioritization and release planning.

o Business Acumen: Experience with Finance processes and or solutions especially Enterprise Performance management capabilities.
o Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, information management or related discipline
o Minimum 5 years in project or program Management

o Certified Business Intelligence professional or Certified Public Accountant or Master's degree preferred.
