We are looking for a smart, high energy technical leader to work with one of the major OEMs. As an Account Technology Strategist (ATS). The role will be located in Redmond. If you are interested in working with one of the leading hardware vendors and act as a trusted advisor to them, this role is for you.

The ATS is responsible for managing the technical sales engagement between Microsoft and our OEM partners. As the ATS, you will be responsible for setting and executing the technical strategy based on Microsoft's platforms and technologies. You will build deep relationships with our partners that scale from Senior Vice Presidents down to hardware and software engineers and establish a trusted advisor status enabling you to impact product roadmaps to align with the Microsoft strategy. You must possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft's products and technologies as well as a strong background in PC and Phone hardware combined with great relationship skills to be successful in this exciting role. In addition to partnering deeply with our OEMs, you will work closely with Microsoft internal partners including the OEM Account and Marketing Managers as well as various Microsoft business and product groups.

Key Responsibilities:
o Assist with development & management of the OEM partner strategy
o Execute Design In/Wins per the Fiscal Year target to drive the adoption of Windows Client and its Windows phone as well as to ensure our OEMs ship high quality systems using Microsoft products and technologies
o Technical engagement management (Technical Account Plans, Quarterly Technical Reviews, etc.)
o Relationship management - build a trusted advisor status producing excellent customer satisfaction across senior members of the partner's technical and product teams
o Work with our account team to identify new business opportunities to grow the business
o Assist the partner with technical excellence, quality and innovation to make Microsoft technology on their devices shine
o Partner education (Whitepapers, presentations, formal training and instruction, Microsoft technologies)
o Microsoft product team liaison

Technical /Functional Skills:
o A broad understanding of Windows Operating systems and phone hardware/software technologies
o Understanding of Microsoft's OEM ecosystem
o Experience in customer negotiation and expectation management.
o Experience managing executive level customer relationships

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline or 4+ years equivalent experience. Advanced degrees are a plus. 10+ years of industry experience related to systems engineering and product development (HW or SW). Strong background in Operating System concepts, a good understanding of the windows and phone market place and new technologies and trends in the PC / phone space. Must be able to present Microsoft technologies to customers and large audiences. Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
