The Account Executive
is responsible for negotiating and selling online advertising solutions across multiple platforms such as MSN
and Office Live
, Windows Phone
and Xbox Live
to executive-level marketing professionals at Fortune
100 businesses and their respective agencies.
Our account teams focus on providing strategic services and marketing capabilities to customer's products, services and brands through custom targeting, best in class rich media and video, and other advanced online solutions. The Account Executive
will define the Microsoft
products to meet the clients' needs, and sell/close product packages to meet their business goals. This person will partner with product teams and subject matter experts to define new product offerings and work with senior management on sales strategy.
A minimum of seven years of successful direct sales and/or business development experience
of five years proven successful experience in advertising (online and offline) sales to large and medium businesses
degree from an accredited college/university
selling to national tier accounts
skills in initiating executive-level contacts in accounts and their agencies, securing sales presentation opportunities, and demonstrated success in closing new business relationships within consumer packaged goods industry
passion about the benefits of technology and the internet
to operate and make timely decisions in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment where internet advertising is often sold before product offerings are fully developed and features change rapidly
and confident written and oral communication skills including ability to present well in front of a client are a must
the division and company with integrity and trustworthiness, while persuasively selling the benefits of online advertising and overcoming any objections
to travel up to 30% nationwide to attend client meetings, conferences, seminars, and industry events
