Amazon is seeking to hire an Software Development Engineer to join the Amazon Global Outsourcing Customer Service team. In this role you will help shape the technical direction for the systems and networks that run Amazon’s worldwide customer service. This includes 100+ sites across 30+ countries supporting Amazon worldwide customers. This position will be located in Seattle, WA. Responsibilities include: - Helping to develop the Technology infrastructure strategy for Amazon’s worldwide customer service organization - Building and maintaining productive relationships with business and IT teams both within Amazon and with our outsourcing partners - Work with other team members to investigate design approaches,
· Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field · Experience developing software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability - The ability to write utility scripts in Perl, Python or Bash. - Familiarity with relational databases and SQL. - Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model. - 3+ years’ experience with WAN and LAN networking, carrier management, telecom, redundant power system design - Ability to travel 20% or more both domestically and internationally - Great communication skills,
