The Microsoft Hardware Technology team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Manager, Technology Partnerships to own the relationships and business framework with technology partners that provide crucial services, software, silicon technology and components for Microsoft hardware development programs.
Business Leadership: In this role, you'll work closely with hardware development and manufacturing teams to create and execute business processes that consistently meet all business goals. You will drive the process of identifying, evaluating, and selecting optimal technology providers, while utilizing and sharing best practices within Microsoft. Negotiations: Working in tandem with the development teams, along with Legal and Finance, you will be responsible for: Negotiating and closing high value contracts that have a direct and long-term impact on the bottom line Analyzing and balancing a potential
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or equivalant work experience. At least 10 years of post-college experience in the semiconductor and/or electronics industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong business acumen and excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple internal and external groups Preference will be given to candidates with: An advanced engineering degree and/or an MBA Experience working with consumer hardware products Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening
